VerVida Association respects the privacy of everyone who interacts with our work and processes personal data only for legitimate purposes, in line with EU Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law.

What data we process

We process only the data you provide voluntarily through the forms on this site (contact, volunteering) or by email and phone: first name, last name, email address, phone number, city, age (where relevant), area of interest and the message you send.

Purposes of processing

We use this data to respond to your requests, organise activities, camps, workshops and projects you express interest in, coordinate volunteering and share information about the Association's projects. We do not use the data for automated profiling and we do not sell it.

Legal basis

Processing relies on the following legal grounds: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b)), compliance with legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c)) and the Association's legitimate interest in carrying out its activity (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Retention

Data is kept only as long as needed for the described purposes or as required by law. Contact-form data is kept for a maximum of 24 months after the last interaction. Data for active volunteers is kept for the duration of the collaboration plus 12 months.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the rights of access, rectification, erasure (the “right to be forgotten”), restriction, portability, objection and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).

Cookies and third-party tools

The site uses strictly necessary cookies for its operation. We may integrate third-party tools (for example Google Maps for the location map and email platforms) — these may set their own cookies according to their privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our work or in legislation. The current version is shown at the top of the page along with the date of the last update.
